What is a ‘Cook the Book’ Event?

Our Cook the Book events are a bit like a book club for home chefs! And a fun way to try out several recipes from a new cookbook and connect with others.

  • You purchase the selected cookbook from The Cupboard.
  • Choose a recipe you want to make and share with others in the group, and let us know the name and page number of your choice.
  • Prepare the recipe EXACTLY as written in the cookbook.
  • Bring your dish to the event, ready to serve and share
  • Share your experience with the sourcing and preparation of the recipe. Was there an ingredient that was difficult to find? Do you think it could use more or less of an ingredient? Share any notes that another home chef might find ueseful.
  • Enjoy the time with the group, browse the shop, and maybe even sign up for the next Cook the Book event!
